Sophia Bhatia, MD

Dr. Bhatia is a Physician, Wellness Expert, Author, Entrepreneur and Keynote Speaker. She is passionate about holistic and natural healing methods, drawing on her knowledge and experience from studying, living, and working in India and Peru. She is an advocate for women's health, healthcare for active duty members of the U.S. Air Force, and underserved populations in the U.S. and abroad.

She has extensive and unique work experience. She founded the Women's Health Clinic and Vetting Clinic at the UCSD VA Medical Center in San Diego, CA in 2007. In 2009, she worked at the Gila River Indian Health Service site in Arizona. In 2010, she was selected by the Air Force to be Flight Surgeon at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, where she served the President, VP, Pilots, and active-duty soldiers and pilots on Air Force 1 and 2. She has been part of the Presidential Support Personnel (PSP). She is a leader in Diversity, Inclusion and Health Equity. She is also a contributing author to the best-selling book, The Chronicles of Women in White Coats.

She completed her Doctor of Medicine in 2004 at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Her residency was in Family Medicine, also at the University of Colorado in 2007. While in medical school and residency, she volunteered for Stout Start street Clinic and Warren Village, both serving the homeless population in Denver, CO. Dr. Bhatia speaks English, Hindi, and Spanish.
