CaseNetwork is continuing its campaign to introduce its new product, CoreCases, to resident program directors by participating in this year’s CREOG meeting. CREOG (Council on Residents Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology) is a sub-group of ACOG (American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology) dedicated to resident education.
The attendance at this year’s meeting is expected to exceed all past years, much of that due to the interest in the mandated ACGME milestones. These milestones must be implemented by each teaching program to coincide with the upcoming academic year commencing in July 2014. Program Directors from academic teaching centers nationwide are looking for ways to include the new requirements, as well as evaluate residents’ understanding and proficiency of each milestone.
CoreCases, the resident education product from CaseNetwork, is a curriculum of 48 simulated patient encounters focused on Ob-GYN disease states and conditions. Each case contains all six competencies and selected milestones. CoreCases can assist Program Directors in implementing the milestone requirements directly into their current program. In addition, CoreCases includes the tools to objectively asses and track each individual understands and performance related to the specific milestone. Cases can be used to manage the gaps in clinical experience, for independent study, or group discussion.
Other distinguishing features of CaseNetwork products are also incorporated into CoreCases, such as formative feedback, collaborative learning networks and mobile access.
CREOG is being held at the Hyatt Hotel in Atlanta, GA from Feb. 26 thru Feb. 28, 2014.
